Illumination’s The Grinch

A Children’s TV Review by Jerrica Sannes

  • Raise Wildflowers Children’s TV Reviews are based on current child development research and early childhood best practices. Our reviews are geared towards children ages 1 to 7, although we recommend avoiding screen-time altogether before age 2*.

*If a young child is not interested in our highest rated tv shows, this is likely an indication that the child’s brain has grown accustomed to overstimulating infant/ toddler tv shows (such as Cocomelon), or that their brain simply isn’t ready for screen-time just yet.

Check out The TV Detox for more information.

Each show is given points in four main categories, based on multiple subcategories. Our grading rubric has been carefully designed to predict how a show is likely to impact a young child’s developing brain in the areas of attention span, social and emotional skills, language development, and early learning.
