Mother Wildflowers
Support independent play and whole child development, naturally.
Jumpstart your journey towards raising kind, happy, and resilient children while doing less and thriving in motherhood - because it shouldn't be this hard.
Mother Wildflowers will teach you why doing less is scientifically better for your child's development (as well as your sanity), and how to begin implementing do less principles in a do more society.
do less
do less
Do you use screen-time for any of these reasons?
safety - to keep busy toddlers in one place
learning - no toddler left behind
companionship - because mama needs a break
“@jerricasannes is for moms, y’all.”
I get it - screen-time awareness feels like a direct attack on mothers. We’re supposed to:
Be available always - even at the expense of our own mental and physical health.
Actively work on our children’s learning and development - around the clock.
Prevent injuries and tears at all cost.
This is what I call the “do more” message - and I truly believe it poses a serious threat to our society.
I don’t want you to replace screens with yourself. I want you to replace screens with freedom - freedom for them, and for you - because, believe it or not, parenting is significantly easier without screens.E
as a new mom, I…
was extremely overwhelmed
never knew what to prioritize
felt like everything I did was wrong
was always worried I wasn’t giving my baby “enough”
felt like my contributions at home were not of value
was isolated
struggled with never being alone
had a picture perfect view of motherhood that didn’t come true
felt guilty about anything that felt easy (because society says the hard way is the right way)
felt judged and ashamed for basically everything
didn’t know what or who to believe (and fell down Google rabbit holes only to become even more confused)
used my phone or TV to escape (which I now recognize only further amplified my mental health issues)
“do less” motherhood
has given me:
I want to help you support independent play and transform your child’s behavior
Not with activity lists and play ideas, not with perfect playroom tips, not with carefully curated parenting scripts, step-by-step discipline techniques, or “miracles” —
but by helping you fix what isn’t working, understand your child’s play and behavior on a deeper level, establish a culture of play and respect in your home, and develop a genuine relationship with your child that goes far beyond any hack.

“I honestly can't even begin to describe how I felt after this course. I read a review that said this is the only course you need as a parent and I whole heartedly agree!!! This should be taught at antenatal classes, at parent and baby classes, toddler groups...every where! [My health visitor] could not believe the change in my boy twin toddler compared to 3 months ago… When I started struggling with my first I wondered why it was so hard and had this joke (but was also serious about it too) for the past 6 years saying that I was waiting for someone to give me the information I wasn't told at the beginning which would make this easier. Finally now with a 6 year old and 2 year old twins I found what I was missing. THIS COURSE, THIS INFORMATION. Some of the stuff Jerrica said should be etched in stone.”

-
Yes, I consider Mother Wildflowers the “next step” after The TV Detox. Participating in Mother Wildflowers will help you determine why your child is still not playing independently and which other changes you may need to make.
-
Although a screen detox is highly encouraged while participating in this course, Mother Wildflowers focuses very little on screen-time and more on relationship, confidence, consistency, and environment to support play.
-
Nope! The concepts of this course are relevant to working moms as well.
-
The goal of this course is to help you release control and appreciate your child’s innate drive to play, explore, and discover. Beyond providing a safe and enriching environment, I firmly believe that a child’s play does not require an adult’s effort. Play is their work - not ours.
-
This course will help you gain a better understanding of play and development. I’ll teach you why children don’t actually need new toys for each stage of development, despite clever marketing campaigns.
-
In this course, you’ll learn the benefits of ditching the parenting trends and simply taking an authoritative approach to parenting.
-
At Raise Wildflowers, we believe in using positive discipline and fostering emotional intelligence. We never condone spanking, shaming, time-outs, or other forms of punishments; however, we do believe in calmly and confidently setting and enforcing limits and boundaries as a strong, loving caregiver.
This course is especially beneficial for anyone who feels overwhelmed (and exhausted) by the attachment/ gentle parenting message.
Learn how to nurture secure attachment and connect with your child on a deep, genuine level while also shaking off some unnecessary guilt and protecting your own mental health.
